The Connaught hotell

Jag börjar med att tipsa om något som är bland det bästa jag vet, afternoon tea. Naturligtvis med ett glas champagne till. Jag har besökt en mängd olika ställen som serverar afternoon tea, bäst hittills har dock besöket på The Connaught hotell varit. Hotellet ligger på Carlos Place i Mayfair i London och är ett femstjärnigt hotell och det är i deras restaurang Espelette som teet serveras. Servicen är fantastiskt bra utan att skapa en stel och alltför stram känsla och stämningen är väldigt rogivande. Afternoon tea kostar £35 per person och £45 med ett glas champagne. För detta pris får man sandwichar med varierande innehåll beroende på säsong, te, scones med clotted cream och ett urval av 16 olika marmelader och sylter och som avslutning ett antal små bakelser. Är det något du vill ha mer av är det bara att säga till så får du mer. Själv har jag dock svårt att orka äta av allt som bjuds. Ett tips är att inte äta på några timmar innan, man blir verkligen mätt.

The Connaught erbjuder afternoon tea måndag till fredag mellan klockan 15.00 och 17.30 och på lördagar och söndagar är det sittningar klockan 13.30, 15.30 och 17.30. The Connaught hotell

This is going to be a blog with my tip about London. What I like about London and what I think you should do when visiting London. I will link to pages that can be an inspiration or helpful if you are going to visit London. It is like people say "When you're tired of London, you're tired of life". 

I start to give a tip about something that is among my favorite things, afternoon tea. Of course with a glass of champagne. I have visited a lot of places that serves afternoon tea, but best so far is my visit to The Connaught hotel. The hotel is located at Carlos Place in Mayfair in London and is a five star hotel and it is in their restaurant Espelette that the tea is served. The service is extremely good, without making it too formal, and the environment is very soothing. Afternoon tea costs £35 per person and £45 with a glass of champagne. For this amount of money you get sandwiches, tea, scones with clotted cream and a choice of 16 different marmalades and jams. The ending of this consists of an amount of cakes and tarts. If it is anything you want to have more of you just ask for it. I myself have a hard time to manage to eat everything that is served. A tip is not to eat a couple of hours before you have afternoon tea, because you get really full.

The Connaught serves afternoon tea Monday to Friday between 15.00 and 17.30 and on Saturdays and Sundays it is sittings at 13.30, 15.30 and 17.30. If you arrives a little bit early, you can always stop by their bar, Connaught bar, for something to drink. Also the bar offers a lovely atmosphere and good service.
